Very satisfied with its repeatability and compactness. This is a light weight scale. It is not a heavy duty industrial scale.

The light weight SS pan slips off for easy cleaning. Functions with either a power cord or on batteries.

Although the scale is very repeatable, like any other analytical device, you will need to invest in a couple of calibration weights.

Owned this scale for about six years and it still works great. Before purchasing this I was going through about one per year..worth every penny!

I am very impressed with this scale. I am using it to measure loose leaf tea (3 – 5 gram range). I looked at several other models, both “kitchen” scales and “jewelry” scales and decided on this one. For my application the main advantages of this scale are:

    1. Weighs in 0.1 g increments (many of the kitchen scales only measure in 1 g increments and when you’re weighing in the 3 – 5 gram range that is not sufficiently accurate). As far as I can tell this scale measures very reliably (for instance, the small cup that I use to hold the tea on the scale always weight 22.7 grams).

    2. Good durability/size/price combination: Many of the jewelry scales that measure in 0.1 g or less increments either look quite fragile or have very small weighing surfaces. This scale, however, has a large weighing surface and has a very substantial feel to it. I would be very careful using it around a messy kitchen, however, because it seems like it could be easily gummed up with liquids/semi-liquids if they get under the weighing plate. For my application, however, this isn’t a problem.

One thing to be aware of is the maximum weight capacity of 200 g. This may limit its usefulness for any medium-sized or larger kitchen applications. But for those you should probably get a cheaper, more water resistant scale with a lower resolution (e.g., 1 g increments).
